Paris robbers strike again

Bollywood actress tear-gassed and beaten by masked intruders at neighboring Paris apartment to Kim Kardashian's crime scene .
Bollywood actress and model Mallika Sherawat was tear-gassed and beaten up masked intruders who stormed a Paris apartment close to where Kim Kardashian was robbed.

Mallika, 40, and her businessman boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans, 45, arrived at the upmarket apartment around 9:30pm last Friday night.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the criminals wore scarves across their faces and ' without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them'.

A criminal investigation has been launched and Paris police are working on the theory it was an attempted robbery.
The apartment is owned by Mallika's partner Cyrille who specializes in real estate.  He is a frequent visitor to Mumbai, which is home to the Bollywood film industry, where the couple are often seen out on the town together.
Mallika is an outspoken feminist who frequently talks about attacks on women in her native India.
While promoting her film Bachelorette India two years ago, she called India regressive compared to countries such as USA.
She said: 'I made a conscious decision to divide my time between Los Angeles and India.
'So now when  I've experienced that social freedom, when i go back to India, which is so regressive for women, it's depressing. As an independent woman, it's really depressing.'
The attack on Mallika and her partner came a month after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in a neighboring Paris apartment.
