Hillary Clinton, 69, may have lost the presidential election, but she will definitely leave a lasting legacy. The former Democratic party candidate hosted a final party at her campaign headquarters on Nov. 11, getting cheered on by the crowd as she walked on stage for the highly anticipated event. She proudly told her staffers, “I love you and will be forever grateful to you and I hope that our paths will cross in someways over the months and years to come. But tonight it’s really my chance to say thank you, thank you for everything you have done for me, for our common mission.” Her inspiring words come hours after she revealed that her loss was still difficult to process. “I’m not going to sugarcoat it: These have been very, very tough days.”Hillary continued to encourage her supporters to remain politically active, noting how their pain should be used as motivation towards fighting for a brighter future. “This is a tough time for our country. I think we have seen how people have been reacting to the events of this election and I know we have got to be reaching out to each other to keep it clear in our own minds that what we did is so important.” Bill Clinton, her daughter Chelsea, campaign chairman John Podesta and top aide Huma Abedin were present for the big moment, applauding her efforts and strong will.
Hillary even admitted that fans had delivered 1,200 roses to her house on Nov. 11, but she decided to bring them to the event for all of her supporters to keep. Our hearts are so full! Despite her devastating loss to President-Elect Donald Trump, 70, she is still staying focused and revealed how the life-altering experience has pushed her to grow. Hillary concluded her speech with a poignant message, “Have a good time tonight and then regroup and think about what we can do to make sure that we prove love trumps hate.”
