Interview with Nigerian rapper Drims

Jolade Fashakin: Can you tell us how you started out as a rapper?                                         Drims: I started rapping at the age of 5. Back then i was to Lil Wayne's lyrics because he inspired me and when i got into high school i started rapping with the seniors during stage performances like talent hunt and things of that sort.

Jolade Fashakin: Was it your dream to become a rapper or are you just a rapper for the fame?                                                                                                                                                 Drims: I was born to be a rapper. It was always my dream to be a rapper and now i've achieved it.

Jolade Fashakin: Are your parents in support of it?                                                                    Drims: Yes my parents are in full support in me being a rapper.

Jolade Fashakin: What made you chose the stage name Drims?                                                   Drims: Literally a lot of people have dreams but only a few people can achieve it so i just felt "Drims" should be the inspiration to help me focus and move forward.

Jolade Fashakin: There are a lot of rapper these days, are you just one of "those rappers" or you plan on bringing something different?                                                                     Drims:There truly are a lot of rappers these days but i just don't want to give the same thing every other rapper out there is giving i wan't something different out there for my listeners.

Jolade Fashakin: We heard the chances for your new song blowing are big is this true?           Drims: Yes i feel it is some Dj's have my song and they've spun it on the wheel and they loved it. So i feel this song can go places.

Jolade Fashakin: Is there any reason behind the name Fake Friends and what is the song based on?                                                                                                                                          Drims: Everybody has or had that one a fake friend at a point in time in life that has slyed or betrayed so basically that's the concept behind the song.

Jolade Fashakin: Is there anything you'd like to say to your listeners and fans?                             Drims: Big ups to all my listeners thanks for sticking with me and thanks to joladefash.com for helping to promote.
