Jay Z & Kanye West Feud Has Been ‘Brewing For Years’ — Why It Finally Erupted

“Tension has been brewing between Jay Z and Kanye for years. They are friends but they have never been as close as some people think. Kanye is a polarizing guy, even to someone like Jay Z. He’s never been one of Jay‘s inner circle,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. OMG, we thought after Watch the Throne that these two were besties, only to have Kanye  shatter the image by calling out Jay in a vicious concert rant on Oct. 19.
“Jay definitely respects his musical talent and creativity and they have had some good times together. But over the years Kanye has really started to grind on Jay. There is only so much he can take of Kanye‘s up and down, drama filler personality,” our insider adds.


No one can deny that Yeezy doesn’t wear his emotions on his sleeve, especially after epic internet feuds with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, 29. But we never thought he would go after his mentor Jay in such a public way as he did in concert in Seattle Oct. 19. He mouthed off about his frustration with Jay’s beloved Tidal streaming service then went even further, dissing him for their kids not having playdates.

He even called Jay out for not being a “brother” to him following Kim Kardashian‘s terrifying Paris jewelry robbery. He told the audience “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘How you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feeling? Come by the house. Bring the kids by the house, like we’re brothers.” Whew, Kanye’s got big time issues with Jay and settling it in the court of public opinion is just going to make things worse!
